ROYAL MINT CHRISTMAS GIFT COLLECTION

 However meticulously you plan your Christmas, it's the joyful chaos of friends, family, kids and pets that creates enduring festive memories. This insight inspired the packaging for The Royal' Mint's Christmas 2019 gift collection, created by Taxi Studio. I contributed this 'Night Before Christmas'-esque poem which was printed on each box:

The tree lights are twinkling
The present's are wrapped
Everything's set 
For the best Christmas ever.

But what you'll remember
Won't be any of that 
It's the moments you can't plan
That you'll always treasure. 

Each gift - a teddy bear, piggy bank, bauble and lucky sixpence - was captured in beautiful illustrations showing how they might be a magnet for Christmas chaos, for instance the family cat playing with the bauble and accidentally toppling the tree. The result: premium packaging with a sense of fun, and a fresher Royal Mint.
